Three: What to Wear
The skort:
The skort is trending right now. I’m not sure how I feel about the denim version, but I love an athletic skort! The athletic skort is a skirt with shorts attached. Great for activity or running errands.

Four: What to Try
Girl Dinner:
I have been reading a lot about this popular trend on TikTok. I created these types of meals long before TikTok was around.
From CNN, How to get in on ‘girl dinner,’ the new trend that’s been around all along. “The basic gist of my “snack dinner” is that it’s a meal for one person that requires no cooking, no advance planning and barely any prep time. It’s essentially a personal snack plate, like a low-key cheese or charcuterie board, and it’s usually made from existing leftover ingredients in the fridge and pantry.”

From the New York Times, Is It a Meal? A Snack? No, It’s ‘Girl Dinner.’ “The trend started when Olivia Maher, a showrunner’s assistant currently out of work because of the writers’ strike, posted a video on TikTok this spring extolling the virtues of a humble, medieval-peasant-inspired assemblage that she called ‘girl dinner.’” “You may be wondering what, by contrast, “boy dinner” may look like. “Go to your local supermarket at 6:30 p.m. and stand behind a single man and see what’s inside of his basket,” the comedian Brian Lee observed on TikTok. “Frozen pizza, deli meats, potato chips, no vegetables.”

From PopSugar, Why Is the Internet So Obsessed With “Girl Dinner”?
I made my own “girl dinner” last night. Why? I didn’t feel like putting effort into a meal. I went to my fridge and cabinets, and put together a plate of food.

The verdict: I enjoyed it. I wasn’t hungry; this plateful of cheese, hummus, veggies, and crackers satisfied my appetite.
This trend is not meant to be eaten every night. I think it’s a good idea if you need a quick “meal” and don’t feel like cooking.
Five: What to Do
Watch soccer (football):

FIFA Women’s World Cup starts July 20th. The final is set to be played on Aug. 20 at 6 a.m. Eastern time at Stadium Australia in Sydney. From The Skimm, “This will be the first World Cup where the US women’s national team will receive the same pay rate as the men’s team, thanks to last year’s landmark settlement, which evened the pay-ing field. Seems fair since the USWNT is the two-time defending world champ — and the only women’s soccer team to score four World Cup titles. If the US squad wins this time around, it’ll be the first team — male or female — to three-peat at a World Cup.”
