The Hallmark Channel launches its Countdown to Christmas tonight. This event has inspired the topic for my newsletter.

I know it’s October, and there are two more holidays to celebrate, Halloween and Thanksgiving, but now is a great time to prepare for Christmas.

His restaurant, Mr. Chow, now has locations in New York, Miami, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. This documentary film focuses on his life and his recently revealed other identity as an artist who goes by the name “M.” New York Times

Oct. 21 — Where Are You, Christmas?, When Addy (Fonseca) wishes for a year without Christmas, she wakes up in a world of black and white. She must work together with the town mechanic (Rady) to restore Christmas.
Oct. 22 — Under the Christmas Sky, Kat (Kennedy) is an esteemed astrophysicist, who is scheduled for her first trip into space next year until an accident grounds her. While on leave, coming to terms with the reality that her dream of being an astronaut is over, she volunteers at the local planetarium. There, she is paired up with by-the-book David (Paevey) to work on an exhibit opening right before Christmas. Will the stars align to bring these two together at the holidays?

Killers of the Flower Moon (crime/drama/mystery), In the 1920s, members of the Osage Native American tribe of Osage County, Oklahoma, are murdered after oil is found on their land, and the FBI decides to investigate. Based on a book by David Grann, Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the F.B.I.

Dicks: The Musical (musical/comedy), After discovering they’re long-lost identical twins, two self-obsessed businessmen hatch a scheme to reunite their eccentric, divorced parents.
Tiger Nageswara Rao (drama/crime), During the 1970s, thief Tiger Nageswara Rao masterminds a series of daring heists and becomes a legend for his ingenious methods of outwitting the police.
