One: Watching Comfort Shows

What is a comfort show? From Hulu, “A comfort show can mean something different to everyone, but there’s one thing they all have in common — the ability to help viewers escape reality while bringing a sense of calm, stability, and familiarity to even the most stressful days.”
From Hulu, 25 Feel-Good TV Series on Hulu to Add to Your List of Comfort Shows
I’ve been thinking about comfort shows a lot recently, thanks to the Emmy Awards. The awards show brought together casts from some of the most popular shows on television.
I’ve added some comfort shows in each streaming category in my newsletter. Read more about comfort shows: https://lifestyleofafashionista.com/2024/01/19/watching-comfort-shows/

Have a watch party:
Before streaming came to be, friends and family would gather together to watch their favorite shows in person. Maybe you ordered pizza and had some good tv snacks available. The point was to react, in real time, to the drama, laughs, etc. I remember watching 90210, Seinfeld, Survivor, Downton Abbey, The Walking Dead, and Lost with friends. There are some shows that are released weekly on Apple TV, Max, and Hulu. You can host friends and then discuss the episode after. Or, watch several episodes of a popular show together.
