One: Summer Movie Premieres
Summer movie premieres create excitement for the movie-going crowd.

Last year, we had “Barbieheimer,” where moviegoers dressed up in pink to see Barbie and maybe stayed for Oppenheimer on the same day. If you were up for the challenge, you could spend six hours in a movie theater.
I remember going to the movies with family and friends during the summer in the ’80s (and’ 90s). Some of my favorites include The Goonies (1985, rent), E.T. (1982, rent), The Karate Kid (1984, Starz or rent), Ghostbusters (1984, rent), Back to the Future (1985, Netflix), Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981, rent), and Jaws (1975, Peacock). Rewatch your favorite at home. From The Everygirl, 13 Nostalgic Summer Movies to Watch When It’s Too Hot Outside
Going to the movies during the summer is nice. There are snacks, the seats can recline, there is AC, and some places serve adult beverages.
One potential blockbuster out this weekend: Twisters (read more below).
Family movies still in the theater: Despicable Me 4 and Inside Out 2.
Or see a rom-com: Fly Me to the Moon
