One: 2024 Holiday Movies

I know it’s still fall, and the first week of November, but I think this is a good time to embrace the Christmas season and plan your holiday movie viewing. If you wait until Thanksgiving to get ready, you will have 27 days of the Christmas season. If you start today, you will have 47 days of the Christmas season to embrace. If you’d like to decorate and celebrate longer, start the season now. Especially if all things Christmas bring you joy. We need more Christmas joy in the world. Watching holiday movies is a great way to find Christmas joy.

The Penguin wraps up on Sunday at 9 p.m.

Celebrate Veterans:

Monday, November 11th: Veterans Day is a federal holiday in the United States observed annually on November 11, for honoring military veterans of the United States Armed Forces.

In Boston: Boston Veterans Parade. The parade starts at 12 -3pm on Saturday, November 9, 2024.

Veterans Cruise: Departs at Long Wharf. Saturday, Nov 09, 2024 11:00a – 3:00p. Enjoy a cruise to Peddocks Island, followed by guided tours of historic Fort Andrews, reflections on service, and fun self-guided activities for all ages.

Veterans Day Weekend at the USS Constitution Museum. Throughout Veterans Day Weekend at the Museum, we’ll be giving a token of our gratitude to each veteran visitor, offering special veterans-only tours of the Ship, inviting military families to visit with free admission, providing maker activities, and hosting a write-a-thon to collect letters of gratitude for the veteran community.

In Boston (BSide):

Go to the Snowport: Over 120 vendors selling clothes, artisan foods, home decor, knick-knacks, and more. It’ll be open seven days a week through Dec. 29, with extended hours starting Dec. 9. Plus: The free, iceless curling lanes that are open seven days a week (sign up for a spot here), the annual tree market, events for both menorah and Christmas tree lightings, an NYE ice sculpture stroll, and a seasonal mascot (hi, Betty the Yeti!).
