Saturday Street Style: Gilt Warehouse Sale

When: August 10, 2013

Where: Revere Hotel Boston, MA

I love finding a good deal so when I heard about the Gilt City warehouse sale I knew I had to sign up! I have a membership with Gilt and Gilt City and I have attended many events with Gilt City as well as saved money on products on Gilt. This past Saturday I attended the Gilt City warehouse sale at the Revere Hotel in Boston. The Revere hotel is very nice hotel located on Stuart Street complete with a roof deck bar and pool.

The warehouse sale took place in a building called Space 57 near the hotel. After check in you walk into the bar area, the bar served wine and beer. You could hydrate with complimentary bottles of Hint water, sparkling or flat in lots of delicious flavors. There was also an area to get your hair styled by Be Styled.

My outfit consisted of the shirt I recently bought at H & M for $7, a skirt by Banana Republic, shoes by Target, a necklace I purchased on Gilt, and my new ring set from H & M.

The warehouse definitely had a warehouse feel to it, there were tables filled with shoes, accessories, purses as well as racks of clothing. I started at the shoe table. I found some fun styles and tried on a pair of cute boots. I wasn’t completely in love with them so I decided to move on to the clothing racks. This shopping is similar to shopping at Marshall’s or TJ Max. You have to have patience and time to search through the racks. The clothes were mostly in the right size area and I found many high end brands in the racks. The prices were decent but the quality wasn’t the best. I found a Milly dress, a black sweater and an Ellie Tahari down coat. Shopping at this sale reminded me of shopping at the original Filene’s Basement. You could find some deals but you had to sift through a lot of pieces.
