Tuesday Trend Day (posted on Thursday): boyfriend jeans and plaid

Trends come and go and then come back again. If you saw my New York fashion week street style post you can see some examples of returning trends such as overalls. Another come back is the grunge trend that might produce an outfit with boyfriend jeans and a plaid shirt. See this picture of Gwen Stefani as an example:

During fashion week on the streets of New York there were a lot of outfits with plaid so this week’s trend day topics are: plaid and boyfriend jeans. I decided to make it a two for one this week since my post is a little late.

Here are some examples of celebrities wearing the trend:

The boyfriend jean has many styles but most are baggy with cuffs at the bottom. There are skinny boyfriend jeans and distressed boyfriend jeans. You can dress them up with heels and a statement necklace or keep the look casual with flats.
