Lifestyle of a Fashionista

Boston fashion week finished up this past weekend and I ventured to the Burlington Mall to check out Nordstrom’s fashion show. Nordstrom is my favorite department store to shop in.

Before heading to the mall I decided to cut my hair shorter. I’ve been looking at short hairstyles for the past month after I saw this picture that Nordstrom posted on Pinterest.

I have naturally curly hair that can be straightened when the weather cooperates so I decided to try a bob style that looks good with straight or curly hair.

I’ve been seeing the same stylist, Orlando for the past several years. Orlando always does a great job cutting and coloring my hair and I knew I could trust him with my new style. He recently moved to Axle Color Studio in North Reading, a nice salon with talented stylists. Orlando straightened my hair after the cut but then the curls came out as the humidity increased.  The curls started to form the next day but I like the cut straight or with curls.

After my hair appointment I arrived at Burlington mall around 4 PM just in time for the Nordstrom show. I missed the earlier fashion shows, several stores in the mall showcased their clothes earlier in the day as well as on Friday. Fashion Now was a two day event. Many retailers were participating in the Fashion Now event by giving away samples and providing demonstrations.
