This past weekend I shopped at the Goodwill outlet as part of a blogger event. One of the pieces I purchased was a military style blazer. This blazer as well as Veteran’s Day has inspired this Tuesday Trend Day post.

When you think military, you might think camouflage (a previous Tuesday Trend Day topic) but there is more to the military style than camouflage prints.

DO fall in line with military-inspired looks.

There was a strong military presence at fall 2013 Fashion Week, which means that khaki green is on its way to becoming a staple in your wardrobe.

DON’T avoid girly versions of the utilitarian trend. How about a tailored top or slim pants?

DO add accents like lace or brocade to amp up the luxe factor.
