Horses are beautiful animals. From Britannica, “The relationship of the horse to humans has been unique. The horse is a partner and friend. It has plowed fields and brought in the harvest, hauled goods and conveyed passengers, followed game and tracked cattle, and carried combatants into battle and adventurers to unknown lands.“
There are two horse-related trends I’ve been reading about for the fall: cowboy and equestrian.
From Vogue, Go West This Fall With Cowboy-Inspired Fashions
From Harper’s Bazaar, 5 Western Fashion Pieces You Can Wear Anywhere
The top pieces and styles to buy for this trend include cowboy/western boots (and belts), western shirts, a prairie dress, fringe, denim (pants, shirts, skirts, shorts, and jackets), and a cowboy/western hat.
I can’t write about cowboy boots without including Ted Mosby’s famous red boots. From ENews, “The red cowboy boots were found at a cowboy store in Topanga Canyon,” Kurumada admitted. “We have purchased a few over the years because we needed multiples—remember when we burned a pair?” Who could forget that?! Jeanette’s fire-fueled rage was indeed a sad, sad day in HIMYM’s history. And we don’t care what anyone says; Ted totally pulled those boots off.“
There is a crossover of some western and equestrian pieces you can mix and match, but you should add tall riding boots and maybe a vest or jacket.
