Visiting faraway or local destinations can be fun. Traveling with friends and loved ones, or even solo, introduces you to new places and adventures.

But traveling to new places can also be stressful. Knowing where to go, what to see, and where to eat can cause unwanted anxiety. If you’re planning a trip to celebrate a special occasion, you want things to go smoothly. Finding the time to schedule trip itineraries and travel details can be challenging when your job and family keep you busy.
Booking a tour, or even better, using a travel agent, can help relieve some of the stress of travel planning.
Booking a Tour
When I was younger, I didn’t plan much before a trip. I back-packed around Europe with my best friend in the ’90s with only a Eurail pass and a few planned stops. We would accidentally come across landmarks when touring a new city. This type of trip is appropriate for college students, but full-grown adults need more detailed plans.

My planning improved as I got older, and now I’ve truly embraced taking tours and letting someone else do the planning and ticket buying.
When I traveled to Paris with my relatives in 2012, my Uncle booked tours to the The Palace of Versailles and Normandy.

On my solo trip to Reykjavik, Iceland, I booked a food tour on my arrival night. This was risky due to possible jet lag, but I loved learning about the city while tasting the delicacies of Iceland.

I was hooked on food tours and booked another one in Rome.

If you have a knowledgeable tour guide, you learn some history of the area as well as a sample of local delicacies.
I also booked a tour from Naples to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius.

I was glad I booked tours to some of these destinations. You get transportation, guides, and meals as part of your tour. But, it is a lot of work to find a good tour. I read a lot of reviews and still had some issues on a tour I took to Victoria from Vancouver. My group almost missed the boat ride due to miscommunication.

The Travel Agent
Save scrolling time when you plan your next trip and hire a travel agent.
My friend Nicole is a travel agent. Her agency, Bound for Travel, can help you plan a fun and stress free vacation.

I sometimes get asked, Are travel agents still around? Yes, and we are busier than ever! Here’s why:
I am a seasoned professional with years of training and expertise. I travel as often as I can to experience first hand the destinations that I sell. When I’m in my office, my day starts with me reading the latest industry news so I can stay up to date on travel strikes, airport delays and any other relevant news.

Planning a trip or honeymoon can be quite time consuming, with endless options and decisions to make. Yes, there are hundreds of travel planning and booking websites, but it can be overwhelming. By working with a travel agent, you can save yourself hours of research and frustration. I handle all of the searching, comparing prices and booking, leaving you with nothing to do but pack!
When booking with a travel agent, you’ll receive personalized attention and support throughout your entire trip. My clients often comment that I really listen to their wants and needs. I take the time to understand their preferences, interests and budget to create a tailor made itinerary that suits them perfectly.

Traveling, especially post-Covid, can be unpredictable and unexpected issues can arise. When your trip or honeymoon is booked with me as your a travel agent, you’ll have the peace of mind knowing that you have 24/7 support and assistance.
Lastly, part of my job is to make sure my clients are fully prepared to travel. This means in addition to a complete itinerary with full travel details, I also provide packing lists, travel tips and restaurant recommendations.

There is no need to stress over planning and booking your next trip when you can rely on the expertise of a trusted travel advisor like me!
