Notes of a Fashionista

Volume 4: Issue 2: February 2025

“It’s ridiculous for a country to get all worked up about a game—except the Super Bowl, of course. Now that’s important.” —Andy Rooney

Notes on Fashion:

Winter Boots:

Owning a stylish pair of boots is essential as temperatures dip this winter. During the last Arctic blast, some places received record-breaking amounts of snow. Add a sturdy pair of boots to your wardrobe to deal with the elements or a stylish pair to keep your feet warm.

Uggs: Love them or hate them, they are still trending.

Uggs keep your feet warm, can be stylish, and can protect your feet from the elements. I’ve been wearing Uggs for over ten years. I just purchased my fourth pair, which has a platform bottom. Platform Uggs have been having a moment; many celebrities were photographed wearing this Gen-Z-loved style.

The Super Bowl

The Super Bowl is at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Feb. 9, 2025 on FOX, kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET. The Chiefs will represent the AFC and the Eagles will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Grammy Award-winning artist Kendrick Lamar is set to headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show.

Reasons to watch the big game:

The football:

Kansas City and Philadelphia meet again. The Chiefs are looking to clinch three wins in a row. If your favorite team didn’t make it, join the haters online. From Forbes (Super Bowl 2025: The Internet Is Furious) “Fans of other teams can’t really support a Kansas City Chiefs or Philadelphia Eagles, but what they can do is come together and create a new team: one that hates on those two.

The Food:

Whether you’re hosting or attending a party, or just snacking solo, the snacks and dishes make watching fun.
